Awards Banquet
October is National Women’s Month and women will be honored for their deeds nationwide. SWAN has been honoring local women for their community efforts for over 25 years.
Each June, SWAN requests members of the Skagit County Community to nominate a woman of merit for the SWAN award. The recipient of award is determined by a vigorous interview process that begins in June and continues until September. The summation of months of interviews and years of community service is noted during the annual SWAN banquet.
The SWAN banquet is not only an opportunity to honor a Skagit County woman of many qualities, it is also the opportunity for female leaders in the community to gather for one evening. One evening a year is set aside to remember, to honor and to commemorate all that is done by one and to invigorate those who remember that much is accomplished by many.
